Can you say CATASTROPHE?

Hi, my Lovelies!

I used to have the most perfect craft space....used to.......and now, I don't!
We have a small, brick-built stable block, and for the first few years it was a storage space (more like dumpin' space, lol) for all the odds and ends that every family accumulates.....and then, I had a lightbulb moment.....why not use it for my craft space?

A great deal of grovelling later.......and, nope, you don't need the details......I'd finally persuaded Ken to clear out all the stuff we didn't need to keep (aren't car boot sales great!), and I had a beautiful room where I could create to my heart's content!
Ken had bought and fitted lovely kitchen units, cupboards, drawers, and the longest, smoothest worktop.....what more could a crafting diva want?

Weeeeeelllll.....I'll tell ya...........she wants to sit in her swively chair, surrounded by her multitude of stamps, ribbons, paper, card, bling, etc., etc., and lose herself in all things crafty.........

Now, I'll tell ya what she doesn't want............

She doesn't want the roof to fall in on her, and ruin her wonderful crafting space!!!!

So, what does He-who-is-not- in-the-dog-house-but-way-beyond-the-dog-house-and-squeezing-in-with-the-rabbit  have to say about this catastrophe?

Let me quote......."Oh, that'll be all the squirrels and pigeons that run across the roof, then."!!!!!

I will say nothing further on this matter, either here, or in the privacy of my home........until I can speak without grindin' my teeth!!

Here's one I made earlier....
(just as flippin' well, too!)

The base is a piece of Bazzil which I lightly sanded, then layered on a piece of ribbed kraft card which I inked.....

Another piece of kraft was diecut with my Nesties, then inked, and a pink heart (which I found on the floor, under my desk :D) was placed onto it, with a pretty pink gem stuck on for good measure.......

The ticket was a freebie, which I coloured with Promarkers (yay for Promarkers!).....added a couple of scraps of DP.......

........tied some really pretty ribbon (left over from a wedding card) around the whole card......and there we have it!!

Hope you are having a better week than me, lol......and I gained 2 pounds, to boot........flippin' eck......bah humbug (the politest thing I feel like sayin', right now). :D

Some challenges:
Pink Brown Blue colou combo

Anything goes

Hugs,
Anne-Marie x

  1. Oh! I hope your craft materials were all salvagable and not ruined! You hubby sounds like mine.

Your card is very pretty! I'm still trying to learn how to do all the layering, and combining, and make it come out looking decent!

  3. It sounds like you're having a no good, horrible, rotten day, Anne-Marie. Sending you big comforting hug!!! I hope your hubby gets the hint and rapidly repairs your roof for you. Blame the 2 pound gain on hubby too. It was probably due to stress eating from the roof falling in. roflmbo

Your card is so pretty. I just love the tag sentiments. You made me laugh with your find under your desk. :)

  4. Tragedy! when the roof falls in on your crafting space! its Tragedy! (note my little ABBA remake?)
Hope it gets fixed up soon AM, no crafter should be deprived of a room once the luxury has been enjoyed!
Agree with Shelley on the weight gain being form the stress...how could it not be?
All said and one I love your card! layers are just perfect and the whole thing is just so visually appealing :)
After your very...ahem...polite suggestion on who to send that card to, I have prepared the envelope and will be posting shortly :)
