Autumn Colours

Hi, and welcome!

A very wet and blustery few days, we've been having, here in England, and I think it's set to continue for a while yet.......which is fine with me, because it definitely feels like Autumn.....whoohoo....bring on the frosty mornings....yaaaay!!

It looks as if I'm not the only one who is feelin' the pull of warm sweaters, roaring fires, and mugs of hot chocolate, because there seems to be loads of challenges for all things Autumn........so I had to make a card, didn't I?.....'twould have been rude not to, heehee........
I also thought I'd finally get around to using some of the lovely freebies I've been getting in my regular craft magazines....so here we go.........

I used a lovely sketch from the challenge at Totally Gorjuss, because it was simple and quick, and I liked the end result.......everything is from the freebie pack, except the card base and the die-cut leaves.......yaaaay, freebies!

I really like the colours, and there are pumpkins, too, so I couldn't resist..........

Isn't this a sweet sentiment?  Seen it before, but didn't know it was Danish....thought it was Irish....ha!

I raised the panel with the stripes onto foam, which enabled me to push the diecut and inked leaves behind it, just for a bit of interest.
Overall, this was very quick and easy to make, which was a bonus today.......not feelin' too good......old-lady back playing up....ha!
I'm using this layout again, so watch for instalment #2........and let me know what you think....be kind, not feelin' well, remember........HAAAA!

  3. Love the sketch. Love the colors. Am in awe of your die cut leaves -- are you sure they are not real?

  4. Those leaves look real! fantastic card, the image is lovely and it is great layout too, It's been cold and a bit blustery here too and also rainy but it's now Spring, a little more warmth would be nice. Not too hot though. Gee, aren't I hard to please.

  5. Copperknob, I've decided a couple of things here.
1)I want your craft magazines. Mine don't come with freebies at all.2) You really need to give me coloring lessons. 3)Your still nuts as I know you would rather have snowflakes than leaves on your cards. All that aside, again I ask, do you ever make a bad card?

  9. AM, a card that remindes me of roaring fires and bobbing apples. Perfect. Like others, I am sure those leaves are real! Great proverb, I will let the Danes take credit for this one. lol

  11. Fun card! Autumn colors are some of my favorites. The only time of the year that I seem to use oranges, browns and yellows. You've done quite a nice job. I especially like the way you tucked the leaves behind the top panel.
