Hello, and welcome!
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments you left about my pumpkin garland....I'm chuffed to little mintballs!
I actually scheduled that post on Monday night, so that it would automatically pop up on your readers, on Wednesday.....and I'm so glad that I did because I've had no internet connection since Tuesday morning....arrrgggghhhh! Hate it when that happens, but....fingers crossed....all seems to be back to normal.....did I actually use that word?......normal? .....ha!
Anyway, I've been remiss....as Leigh-Anne (daughter #3) has taken great delight in tellin' me....in that I kept forgetting to post about George's baptism, in August.
As some of you know, we (Latter-Day Saints, aka Mormons) baptise our children when they reach the age of 8 years, if they so wish.....and George wished, so he was dunked....twice ....because his foot came up out of the water, when he was dunked, which meant he had to go under again.....which all the kids (and me!) thought was hilarious........DISCLAIMER: I've already posted about how I tend to laugh at inappropriate times.....ha!
Here's the birthday and baptism boy, with his Mum (Leigh) and Dad (Richard)
And here he is in his first Sunday suit, after he was baptised......
and here is Mum, Dad, Olivia (6), Henry (4) and Millie (9 months).....don't know who Henry takes after.........
This cake was made by a friend....how cute is that?......
You might remember that I made a Karate Kid birthday card for George....he recently acheived his Yellow Belt.......and this is the card I made for his baptism.......you've seen this image several times already....ha!
Again.....I know, I know......I used the cute image that Nikki at Melonhedz made for me........don't know where I got the papers from.......all coloured with my trusty Promarkers......
Don't you think George looks just like this?.......HAAAA!..........He doesn't usually have his hair this short, but we don't want to talk about it....Leigh-Anne will get upset again, LOL!
And the usual sentiment............and you'll be seeing the same image, in November, when Taylor reaches 8 years, and is baptised....but at least that one will have a pony-tail!
Thanks for looking......are we happy now, Leigh?

ReplyDeleteTine :)
Leigh should be delighted with you, that was a great post, what a lovely happy occasion. I understand about laughing at the inappropriate moments, I tell the most silliest of jokes at very serious and nervious moments!
ReplyDeleteThe image is great and the card if fab.

ReplyDeleteBOO! well, you said i was scary!
LOL
hugs :)
That cake is just so awesome - love it. Hazel x
ReplyDeleteI probably would have laughed too! At my son's wedding my brother said something to me and I missed hearing the minister ask who gives my son Jason in marriage etc. my hubby stood up and not me he nudged me and I popped up like a Jack-in-the-Box. Definitely got a laugh from me and most of the people at the wedding! Adrian is 6 foot and I'm only 5 so it did look funny.
ReplyDeleteYour family look lovely and a lovely card to celebrate George's baptism.
Sandy
I'm sure the entire family are going to have fond memories of this day Anne-Marie and having the card match the cake is a great idea. Thank you for sharing this at Delicious Doodles for our New Stuff challenge and good luck

AM, I think Leigh was right in insisting you share. What a lovely family (can't believe how big Millie is getting). You know you are the Queen of male cards and if that stamp was rubber I would lay odds you would wear out before you were done using it. Thank heaven for digital, right?! George is so manly looking and what a wonderful smile. I'm trying to refrain from using the word cute, of course, I am thinking it;), after all he is 8! Someday he'll have the girls all a twitter with that grin. Olivia is a doll and I think we all know who Henry takes after, Ken! Just saying.
ReplyDeleteTell Leigh I she has every right to be proud - what a beautiful family...
fab card- thanks for playong along with Delicious Doodles
