Hello, and welcome!
Yep, it's me......don't ask about the new bloggie look.......I've been fed-up with the old one for ages, and thought it would be easy to change it.......NOT!
I am really not happy with it, but have not had the time to sit and mess around....so, here I am.......in a messy mess.....hummppphh!
Most of the United Kingdom has been battered by very high winds and torrential rain, since last night, and one poor woman has been killed by a falling tree branch. High winds always scare me......there is never an upside to them, is there?
At least, I was able to stay at home, today......hate driving in this weather.......and was able to make a couple of cards.....hurray!
I've been toying with the idea of starting a Facebook page to try and sell a few cards........I use a lot of them for family and friends' birthdays, but have an awful lot just sitting in boxes....might be nice to get a few pennies for 'em...heehee!
Do you remember this card?
I made this for Freya's birthday.......she and her brother, Adam, turned 4 years old last week.
I made a similar one for Adam, again using a cute Dearie Dolls image......
All coloured up with Promarkers and layered onto toning papers and card.....the image was cut with this nifty die from Spellbinders (I think it's called Office Supplies).....nice, eh?.......ric-rac and buttons always look good on a boys cards, me thinks......and the star is easy-peasy to make.......cut out a star shape, then score and fold from each peak and valley......
The postage stamp die cut is from the same Spellbinder's set as the one above, and I used a large number sticker and some card candi to make it pop.......
I stamped the birthday sentiment onto white card and used another die to cut out........done and dusted!
This is a photo of our eldest son, Mark, and his family......the twins are in the front. Mark and Angela took 8 year old Alexandra, 6 year old Spencer, and Adam and Freya to Disneyland Paris, earlier this month......not got a clue who the fella in the middle is....hahaaa!
I'm hoping my blog looks a lot prettier, soon, but in the meantime......sorry!!
hugs,
Anne-Marie x

Whew, definitely threw me for a loop to come here and find an entirely different look. There was something comforting and reassuring about your old look. Will have to get used to this new one. The cards for the twins are FAB. I liked them both when you shared them (privately) and I've not changed my opinion one iota now they've gone public (smile). The step card was a perfect format for getting all the images to work beautifully together. Great job, and Happy Birthday to the twins. What a fun trip for the entire family, and what a sweet Grammy to create these special cards for the twins.
ReplyDeleteWhat Darling Cards! I love them!! I need to try to make these kind sometime!! Thank you so much for playing with us this week at Love to Create Challenge! Can't wait to see what you'll create next time! Come back and play with us soon!

ReplyDeleteI love how you made the two cards similar, yet very unique! LOVE the star and hate to admit I never thought to use scoring to make them dimensional!
