House on the Hill/DT Card

Hello, and welcome!

Can't believe how hectic life seems to be, at the moment.........today has been the first day I've been into my craft room, all week.......and I feel as if I'm gettin' just a tad SNOWED FLIPPIN' UNDER with everything I've got to do!!

Did I shout?.....sorry.......

I've still got another 8 birthday cards to make, and 2 baptism cards.....and a mountain of Christmas cards.....and I'm nowhere near finished on Hannah's quilt......and \I promised to handstitch a Christmas wallhanging for Gillain........and I'd  promised myself that I would also finish the Autumn Flannels quilt that I started (for myself) about 6 years ago.....sheeeeeesh.........

Trouble is, I enjoy doin' all this stuff so much......it's hard to try to prioritise........but it has to be the birthday cards, and the two baptism cards.........another sheeeeeesh!

Anyway, today I made a card to send to Jonathan and Tanys, and Bevan..........they are settling in nicely, in Ireland....made to feel very welcome........

I used a Stretch 'n' Bubbles image called House on the Hill

I was tempted to use this image for a Christmas card, and still might....haaaaa!.....but thought it works really well for a New Home greeting.......the papers are Nitwits.....nice and bright and cheery.....and I coloured with Promarkers........

I wanted a bit of depth, so printed the image twice, and did a little decoupage on the roof....the heart stamp is from Nitwits (freebie!).....

Cute as a button......okay, okay.......I'm tired, so what d'ya expect....haaaaaa!.....

I got this fabby sunflower on a headband that I bought from Primark for £2.00.....there are 12 sunflowers altogether....bargain!!  I wanted to wear it home, but Daughter #2 wouldn't let me....can't think why!

The sentiment label is from the same free Nitwits stamp set (in a magazine), and the sentiment is from my stash....just added the ickle buttons........

Ribbon is from my stash, too.......tied a bow, and popped on another heart which has been stamped onto kraft card.......sorted!

Now, I'd like to share some fantastic news......
My baby grandson, BEVAN, has been given the all-clear.....his heart is strong and healthy, and he can live a completely normal life.....WHOOPIEEEEEE!!
Some of you will remember that he had a faulty heart rate that caused him to actually die, for a few minutes, when he was 10 days old......he spent 5 weeks in intensive care, bloated and strapped to all sorts of machines....it seemed to be touch-and-go for the longest time, until they found the right combinations of medicines that would regulate his heart, and give him a chance to outgrow his ailment.....and he has!.....just had his first birthday, and growing like a weed.....a very handsome weed....haaaaaa!!

So, a HUGE THANK YOU to all those of you who shared this rough ride with our family......I appreciate your support and comfort so very much.....

Hugs,
Anne-Marie x

  6. M, did you feel the ground shake lately? That was me happy dancing over BB's beyond wonderful news. Agree with Anne about frogs and Princes.

You know as well as I that they will love your cute card. Perfect as always.

Now, onto the headband... Who's the mother here? At least leave one flower on and wear that proudly. Just saying!

(How exciting - just used the power of delete here so I could correct a typo. Didn't want to give Claire any ammunition.)
