In the Pink.....and Yellow :)

Hello, and welcome!

Has it really been a week since I last posted?  Oh dear, I really don't know how to explain that, lol.  I can only say that I've felt a need to work on my family history research, and I can get totally lost in times past.  The Hubster has been home for only the one day in the past 14, and next week will be the same, so it's been easy to lose track of time.  I haven't made even one card, this week, which is not at all like me....in fact, the card I'm sharing today was actually made at the beginning of last week.....and I've got new crafting supplies that haven't been taken out of the packaging yet!  Perhaps I've been running a fever and haven't noticed....hahaa!

Okay....down to crafty business!  It's time for a challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle........woohoo!

This week is a COLOUR challenge for you:

PINK AND YELLOW
Your creations should be all or predominantly pink and yellow!

We're welcoming back the fabulous Floppy Latte as our sponsor, this week, who will be offering our random winner a $6 voucher to spend in the store.

Floppy Lattes Digital Designs ::All Digital All The Time

I was treated to the very lovely Floral Frame 6 to use on my card........

I started with a white card base and added some scrummy DP that came with a magazine....you know me and my freebies, lol........and I put a strip of stripy pink washi tape along the bottom.......

The beautiful tulip frame came with a white background, but I chose to fussy-cut around the flowers which I coloured with Promarkers, and added a touch of sparkle to the bottom left tulip, which was decoupaged for a little extra dimension.  I popped the image onto foam to raise it from the gorgeous yellow Marianne's label onto which I'd added a rub-on sentiment......this Marianne's label die is my absolute favourite, right now....it's so pretty and versatile because it can be used as the focal point with an image in the centre, or, as a background, or bits could be chopped off it, or......or.......okay, you get the picture.....I love it!

Love the sparkly button!  I got a pack of 12 different button twines from TKMaxx (I think it's TJMaxx in the US) for £9.99....bargain!

This simply gorgeous butterfly is a vellum sticker that was in my stash.....I love the colours! I used this pretty Joy Crafts corner on both top edges, too......

The pretty little Notes card was a free download (sorry, don't know where I got it) and I used a Craftwork Cards sentiment flower, with added pin pricks........

I love how this looks.......

Toning creamy yellow paper, a die-cut journal spot and a little more pink stripy wash tape complete the inside of this cute card.

Please pop over to the challenge blog to take a peek at some really lovely inspiration from the rest of the Team, then let's see what you can create for this week's challenge.....
A reminder though...to be eligible for prizes and badges, your entry must follow our rules.  And please post the DIRECT link to your actual blog post, not just your blog

We look forward to seeing your creations!

Buds, Blooms and Blossoms

Hello, and welcome!

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  Anything nice planned?  We've got a nationwide Bank Holiday on Monday, which means a long weekend for all the hard-working peeps to look forward to.  The Hubster is working away from home again, so I'll be doing some much needed work  in the gardens......if the lovely weather holds up, lol.  I've bought a big sack of wildflower seeds, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them come up, over the next few months.
I've got some new lavender, too......anybody who visits my house is greeted by wafts of lavender as they walk up to the front or back doors.....but some of my bushes are getting a bit "woody" and need replacing.....love my spring and summer gardens!

Talkin' of flowers, there's a lovely new challenge for you take part in at Card Crafter's Circle.......

This week is a our challenge for you is:

FLORAL CARDS
Buds, Blooms and Blossoms .... show us flowers!

Our sponsor for this challenge is
and our lucky randomly drawn winner will be able to choose one of the images that our very talented Design Team is showcasing, this week!  Michelle creates some truly beautiful images, and our team has done a fabulous job with their choices.

I chose to use this really lovely Sisters of Spring image for my Floral card......
I started with a white card base and used a piece of plain green paper as the background.....this was also used to matt the other pieces of DP, which came with a magazine.......

I enjoyed colouring up this so-pretty image (Promarkers) and added some sparkly Mod Podge to the ribbon and flowers.....love a bit of sparkle, I do.........

The pink flowers were cut with my very old Woodware punch and I rolled them into these little cuties, then stuck them onto the Doo Hickey flowers that I'd cut from kraft and dark brown card..........I think the leaves are Joy Craft (?)......I'm terrible about keeping packaging, and am trying to remember to put the maker's names on the back of my dies.....we'll see how long that lasts, ha!

Now, I am sure that this kraft corner was cut with a Joy Crafts die.....there are three little pretties in the set.....

This die cut was actually another freebie from Dies to Die For.....it's actually a floral Christmas Tree which I chopped up to pretty up my card.....I do actually have this die, but have not yet used it......see if you can spot it in future offerings.....or, remind me I need to use it, lol.........

Did I mention I did a bit of hand stitching on the layers?  Yep, I sewed........but don't ask me why I decided to stick on this bit of lace....it seemed a good idea at the time......havin' second thoughts now.......ha!

Okay,I'm off to see what Carl is plotting next in Coronation Street......but, I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you've come up with for this Floral challenge.......go on.....you know you want to...hahaaa!

Hugs,
Anne-Marie x

All things Girlie

Hello, and welcome!

I've been trying to get to post this for most of the day.....talk about best-laid plans!  I'd actually turned down an invitation to go to see a film with one of my lovely daughters......had to promise to do it another day.......because I had a ton a few things I just couldn't put off any longer.
It's been a glorious, warm and sunny day, so out went the wash onto the line in the back garden, and I took the time to clean out Babbit's hutch whilst I was out there.....had just walked back into the house, my head full of plans for what I was going to do for the rest of the day, and in walked my two handsome sons.....they's arrived together, but each didn't know that the other was coming for a visit....and they live 100 yards away from each other!  They'd driven the 40 miles from their homes, down the same motorway, both with the intention of surprising me with a visit.....and they were both wearing calf-length checked shorts and sweatshirts......apart from the fact that Mark is 33 and dark-haired, and Jonathan is 25 and blonde, they could have been twins.......oh......and Jonathan makes a lot of the fact that he's a whole inch taller than his big brother......6 feet 1.....hahaaaa!
Of course, all my plans were laid aside and I had a wonderful time with my baby boys......need to do another shop, now.......empty fridge!

It's time for me to tell you about the new challenge at Perfect Sentiments

PSC77: Make it Feminine
CREATE A CARD AND MAKE IT FEMININE. USE LACE, PEARLS, BLING, LACY DIE CUTS, DOILIES, ANYTHING THAT A GIRL LOVES. DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

and our lucky random winner will receive 5 digis as their prize....woohoo!

I loved making this cute card......

I used a white scalloped-edge card base and embossed one side of a piece of pink  Bazzil Basics (De'sire embossing folder) and placed it as the background......

How do you like this little sweetie.....she's called Katy Computer Gal......there's a boy version in the store, too......she's coloured with Promarkers and cut out with a Spellbinder's label.......I added some sweet teeny pink pearls to the edges......

The flowery frame is cut with a Marianne's Creatable die and I popped a lovely green fern behind (freebie from Dies to Die For and I really want this die, but it's out of stock ...tut!)......

The pretty butterfly is cut from brown card....used my Joy Crafts die for this......

I think this little sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, but the packaging is gone, so not sure.....the pretty lace is from Simplicity.......

There's a teeny dragonfly cut from brown card, and I had a bit of the lace left over, so cut off a heart and placed it inside.......I never remember to take a separate pic of the inside of my cards!

I hope you like this offering......take a peek at all the gorgeous girliness that the Design Team have come up with and come back and play!

hugs,

Drops of Sunshine!

Hello, and welcome!

I think we've had all four seasons over the past few days, which is a nice little segue into me sharing details about the latest challenge at Card Crafter's Circle...........

For this Challenge our Theme is:

APRIL SHOWERS
...show us your creations about rainy days.... rainy images...

We are so happy to have Milk Coffee Stamps joining us again with their sponsorship for you! Our random prize winner will receive their choice of FIVE  Milk Coffee images!  I know that will be a fun prize to choose!

It's always lovely when members of our Design Team (the list is over on the right side-bar) get to choose a lovely digi image to play with......I love the Lola range at Milk Coffee, so chose this cute Lola with Watering Can for my card.
The card is intended for my sister's birthday, in May......4th May, in fact.....so, the sentiment is inside and reads "April's showers brings May's flowers........have a Happy Birthday, Flower!".......but I forgot to take a separate photo....sorry!
At least, this sentiment will make a change from all the "May the 4th be with you" ones that she usually gets....hahaaa!

I used yet more freebie paper for the background, which is on a white card base, then layered a piece of stripy paper onto more white card.......

Lola is prettied up for her garden with Promarkers.....I have gardening gloves like that, lol.......the grass is a vellum sticker (yonks old) from K.& Co.........

I cut this fun sunshine shape from yellow glitter card....had this Sissix die forever, and think this is the first time I've used it........

I embossed white card with a swirly Cuttlebug folder and cut out the cloud shapes.....can hear you laffin'!.......and the yellow drops of sunshine rain are from the same die that has the sun shape and an umbrella on it......

Another gorgeous freebie die-cut from Tracy at Dies to Die For.......it came with no less than 7 others with my last order.....doesn't matter if you order one or a dozen of something, she's just as generous......and even gives a code for money off your next order if your postage isn't as much as the website charges......wonderful service!
Ahem......back to the card......I stuck down some tiny flower pearls and drew in the stems and leaves.....don't look too closely.....ha!....you just did, lol..........

Another view of Lola's showery, flowery April garden....lol.

The Design Team came up with some gorgeous stuff, this week.....hop over and pay a visit to see what I mean, then have a go at making something to enter into our challenge.....I'd love to come see what you've done :)

hugs,
Anne-Marie x

Butterflies are a-flitting.....

Hello, and welcome!

It's already Friday and it's been a lovely day for our family.....our Yvie-Grace turned 3 years old and she had a Princess Party.....ooooo......I so wanted to dress as a princess, but I couldn't fit into any of Yvie's or Millie's pretty Disney Princess dresses, as much as I tried, ha!

Another great thing about it being Friday is that there's a brand new challenge at

This week is a our challenge for you is all about:
BUGS
show us your creations with bugs and insects!
Our sponsor
Eureka
is providing 5 lovely digi images for our randomly drawn winner.

The Design Team was provided with some really lovely images, this week, and I chose this gorgeous Heartstreak Butterfly......

A friend has asked me to make something pretty for her MIL's birthday.....she wanted it to be from her kiddles......and this is what I came up with.
The base is white scalloped card stock and I cut the base label from very pale pink Bazzil card.....I love this die......

I used a sticker from a very old sticker sheet and put it onto card, then cut around and placed it onto the base label......

I printed the pretty butterfly (4 times) and coloured with Promarkers, then cut them out....so therapeutic......I was tempted to glitter them up, then decided not, ha!

Where did the 4th butterfly get to........hello!  How about that fussy-cutting, eh?

A little sentiment tab that was in a Forever Friends kit.......an unused kit, I might add......must do something about that, lol.......and I added the teeny gem.....

I hope the recipient likes it.

Take a gander, over on the Challenge Blog, to see the inspiration that's waiting for your perusal....there are some lovely makes from the rest of the Team....then get out your crafty bits and join in the fun!

hugs,
Anne-Marie x

A Little Sketchy

Hello, and welcome!

Winter is not giving up easily, in my part of the world......oh, no indeedy.....we have gale force winds and SNOW, SNOW, SNOOOOOOW!
As much as I love the pretty, white and fluffy stuff, I'm very glad to be sitting in my lovely warm and snug living room....ha!

I'm really looking forward to the weekend because the Hubster and I will have Finlay (6) and his sister, Yvie-Grace (2) staying until Sunday afternoon.....yaaaaay!

This week's challenge at Card Crafter's Circle is a favourite with me.......I love a good sketch, and that's just what we have for you.........

This week is a our challenge for you is:

SKETCH CHALLENGE
Please follow this sketch for your card creation.  You are free to flip it, rotate it, stretch it, add to it, or subtract from it, as long as we can see our original sketch in your creation!

(Colours are shown only for clarity.)

We are happy to welcome this week's sponsor ... Digi Darla's Designs! Our random prize winner will receive their choice of  FIVE images!

If you're lookin' for something that will bring to mind warmer, sunnier days, then my little card might be just the thing, ha!

I used the sweet Blowing Dandelions.....

The card base is white and all the papers used are from a huge K&Co. stack.......I left a tiny border of white before laying down the navy paper, then matted the pink with more white......a pretty paper doily was used as a base for the image stack......

You know I love the winter months......weird, I know :)......but it would be nice to spend a little time just sittin' in the warm sun (not hot!) and blowing dandelion "clocks", eh?
This pretty girlie is coloured up with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs......the dark blue on the dress is Spectrum Noir, simply because I don't have a near colour in my PM collection......I used two different Spellbinders die labels, one to cut out the image (Deckle Edge) and the other to cut a blue background (Large Scalloped Rectangle).....

I used two large blooms (Prima) that I chalked with a touch of soft pink, then cut a circle of dark blue felt for the centre and popped up with a foam dot......

I ran a length of the same blue paper along the bottom of the card and topped it with pretty ribbon, then stacked the sentiment (freebie with a mag) on top.....

I used another doily on the inside of the card, on top of more of the blue paper and a strip of the pink along the bottom......I cut a circle of white card and chalked around the edges, then placed it in the centre of the doily........done!
So easy when you have the layout already planned for you.....so why not pop over to the Challenge Blog to see how my teamies interpreted this cute sketch?
I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.....thanks for popping in!

hugs,
Anne-Marie x

Fairies and Butterflies

 Hello, and welcome!

Well, I did it again.......got my days mixed up and thought yesterday was Tuesday, which means I didn't get my post up for this week's challenge at Perfect Sentiments .....aarrrggghhh!
Would you believe that I have to take my dear old Mam to the Memory Clinic?  As the song says, "It Should Have Been Me!"....ha!

Without further ado.....other than to say we have a forecast for SNOW......(sorry, couldn't resist).....here's the details for the challenge .....

PSC71: Fairies or Butterflies
Create a card for the occasion of your choice using either a Fairy or Butterfly in your design. Using patterned paper or ribbon that includes fairies or butterflies does not count. Don't forget to include the sentiment on the front of your card
Our Sponsor
will award one lucky random winner 3 free digis of their choice!

Fairies and butterflies are happy little creatures, aren't they?  I think I must have smiled all  the time I was creating this sweet little card, lol......

I used Fairy Bella from Patti's store.....she reminds me of Disney's Tinkerbell.....and I started with a white card base  and used a piece of this pretty pink paper (K&Co.) for the background.....
She's coloured up with Promarkers with a touch of sparkly Mod Podge on her wings and on the starfall......the label is cut with a Joy Crafts die..........

I cut the fluttery flutterbys with a Woodware punch from blue and pink card stock, then cut three more from the same white flocked netting that you can see in the background.......pretty!

Another strip of flocked netting along the bottom and a freebie sentiment, raised on foam, and two little flower gems......

My new Cheery Lynn corner die....cute!  The flowers are from Prima and I added a pink brad to the centre....

A little titivating inside and we're done!

Why not feast your eyes on the wonderful inspiration you'll find at Perfect Sentiments, then make a lovely card that includes a fairy or a butterfly,  or both!

hugs,
Anne-Marie x
